What happens when you have narrowed your search down to two or three vendors offering the same type of service? You need to look beyond their reviews and ask the right questions, in order to pick a winner, for you big day. A lot of times vendor will only share with you what they think is important, however, asking the right questions can help you select a vendor that meets your needs, while staying within your budget.

An important thing to note is that you should never lead a conversation, with a vendor, by asking their price. This gives the impression that quality does not matter to you. That’s the furtherest thing from the truth. You need to remain mindful of your budget, however, need to book the best “fit” for your needs.

A few questions, you may consider asking, are:

  1. How long have you been in the industry?
  2. What is your contingency plan, the day of, if there is an emergency?
  3. Do you have liability insurance?
  4. What advice would you give to a first time bride and groom about planning their wedding and selecting a vendor?
  5. How do you justify cost with quality?

Remember you are interviewing the vendor and should ask appropriate questions to determine who is best suited to participate in your big day. This will help you feel confident in the vendor and his or her services, you selected.
