Wenning’s Wedding Tip Wednesday

Talk Before You Walk

One could easily make the argument that planning a wedding is the most stressful event to plan. If you had your wedding during the pandemic or are currently planning yours now, we feel for you. Our very own Chris had a beautiful outdoor wedding on the beach amiss the COVID craziness. He shared with us the secret to planning a seamless wedding: communicate!

Communication Is Key

Communicating with anyone and everyone leading up to your big day is critical. Do not let this known fact be forgotten until it’s too late, especially on your wedding day! Chris did not realize the importance of communication until he started planning his own wedding. Lack of communication only adds unnecessary stress and creates frustrating setbacks.

Who Should I Talk to?

Don’t be afraid to touch base with your wedding planner multiple times to make sure there are no major bumps in the road. The earlier you catch a problem the better! You can also take the initiative to directly talk with your venue coordinator, DJ, and photographer to ensure everything is on track. The key for a successful event is to find one point of contact that will corral all of these people and tasks together.

The Big Picture

Building a strong form of communication will not only make sure your wedding day is just how you envisioned it, but it will help relieve some wedding planning stress! Communication is a simple and effective way to make sure your wedding day is just how you imagined. Make sure you have good communication so that when your wedding day has ended, you remember it for the great day it was rather than remembering stressing over the little things.
