Pro Hair Tips

Our wedding tips this month have been full of incredible Health and Beauty tips for your wedding! We have been featuring industry professionals to give you tips straight from the best of the best. At the beginning of the month we provided tips from Danielle Mock from Mock Makeup LLC. The second half of the month we have been talking to Justine Lynn from Beauty Justified. The topic from last week, she answered common beauty questions her clients have asked her for their wedding. This week Justine is going to focus on Pro Hair Tips for your wedding day and what you can to do prepare for your appointment.

Hair Demo

You need to make sure you are properly prepared for your hair demo so nothing can get in the way of communicating your desired look to your hair stylist. Justine stresses to make sure you come with your hair clean and blown out. You want to give your stylist a blank canvas to start with. They will use their own products to fit the style you are looking for so do not put in your own products before your demo.

Hair Extensions

Justine is often approached about hair extensions and if she thinks brides truly need them on their wedding day. She thinks they are great if they are necessary to achieve the desired hair style. Every Client is different, so she likes to decide what someone needs and customize their process accordingly. She may suggest full extensions or hair fillers to get the desired look. Justine recommends the clip in extensions for your wedding day because they won’t cause any damage to your natural hair and you can put them in and take them out as you please.

Common Beauty Questions Answered

This month we have been sharing Health and Beauty tips from actual industry professionals! This week we are featuring Justine Lynn from Beauty Justified. She is going to provide tips from common beauty questions brides ask about skin care and makeup for their wedding! She is also going to talk about her favorite skin care products and what she recommends for brides on their wedding day!

Skin Care Products

Taking care of your skin is always important, but for wedding it is CRUCIAL. Justine recommends the Mario Badescu travel size skin care kit, it has all of the skin care necessities you will need for under thirty dollars! This company has several lines to choose from so you can customize the products to fit your skin care needs. Justine also recommends that you keep this kit in your shower so you will always have it handy when you need to cleanse your skin.

To Tan or Not to Tan

Justine receives a lot of questions regarding her opinion on getting a tan for your wedding. She prefers a bride in her natural skin because to her that is the most beautiful! But for those who love the summer time glow, she recommends not going any darker than one or too shades from their natural skin tone!

Eye Lash Extensions

The next topic Justine discusses is Eye Lash Extensions. A lot of people ask if they should get eye lash extensions or just use the one time use false lashes. She prefers to apply false eye lashes the day of a wedding because they will look the freshest this way. Choosing to go this route will save you the trouble of worrying about sleeping on extensions and keeping them from getting ruined leading up to your wedding day. The individual lashes or the strip one time use lashes give more lift and depth than eye lash extensions.

Health & Beauty

August is the month where we talk about everything health and beauty. Danielle Mock has graced us with wonderful information about skin care for your wedding last week. We have her starring in this weeks blog once again! The newest topic in health and beauty for your wedding is how to prepare for your Bridal Trial! Danielle chose this topic because she thinks it is an important step to prepare for when planning your wedding.

Prepare for your Bridal Trial

What is a bridal trial? This is where you test the make-up and hair styles you would like to have at your wedding. Doing this gives you the opportunity to adjust the look to be exactly what you’ve always dreamed of! Danielle recommends going to your trial with a clean and fresh face so your makeup artist will have a clean slate to work with. This will also save time because the makeup artist won’t have to worry about cleansing your face and skin. It is also helpful to the makeup artist to moisturize properly before your consultation.

Seeing a client’s face completely bare and free of makeup will allow the artist to gauge the style of makeup that will look best with each client. To prepare for your bridal trial, make sure to research pictures for colors, styles, and products you would like to use. The more information you give your makeup artist the more they will be able to understand the look you are going for.

Skin Care Tips

All month long we will be providing health and beauty tips for your wedding day! This month will be full of tips from actual industry professionals! Makeup artists from the surrounding Pittsburgh area will be featured all month long giving you their best advice. This week Danielle Mock, the CEO of Mock Makeup, LLC, will be talking about skin care tips to keep your skin as healthy and radiant as possible.

Mock Makeup, LLC

Danielle is a licensed and professional makeup artist in the Pittsburgh area. Danielle’s biggest tip would be to take care of your skin! It is your biggest organ and it needs special care! Especially during stressful times like when planning a wedding. It is a good idea to start your skin care regime right away!

Cleanse, Tone, Moisturize

As soon as you wake up in the morning, Danielle says it is best to ALWAYS cleanse, tone, and moisturize your skin every day. Cleansing will get rid of any dead skin cells that might clog your pores. Doing this will help keep breakouts at bay. Toning afterwards tightens and reduces the look of your pores so your makeup will go on smoothly. Moisturizing is one of the most important things you can do for your skin! Keeping your skin hydrated will give you a youthful and supple glow naturally. Danielle also suggests using some type of exfoliation and/or mask once or twice a week. Depending on your skin type, this will greatly help any problems you may have. It is also crucial to keep your skin clean and moisturized at night as well. Your skin regenerates at night so you want it free of dirt and makeup so your pores won’t get clogged. Repeating your morning routine at night will be beneficial as well.

Dress your skin with makeup colors that compliment your skin tone! The wrong shade of foundation will not look right even with a clear complexion underneath. Experiment with different types of makeup several months before your wedding to see which colors and brands you like best. It is important not to experiment with makeup too closely to your wedding day because there are risks for irritation when using new products.
