Pandemic Wedding Success

We all have had to cancel plans, vacations, and celebrations due to COVID-19, but don’t let your wedding day be one of them! It is time to get back out there and realize the only thing stopping you from planning your dream wedding is YOU!

If Chris Can, So Can You

Let our very own, Chris, be all the proof you need that you can still have a successful wedding during a pandemic. It is crazy to believe that Chris got married over a month ago! He was able to plan a beautiful destination wedding at an outdoor venue on the beach. Sixty guests attended his big night, not including all of the hired staff and vendors! Everyone had an amazing time and left happy and healthy. It is safe to say the night was a great success and one that everyone will remember.

No Time is Like the Present

Another important thing to remember is that it is completely normal to feel overwhelmed during your wedding planning process, pandemic or not. You just need to have the right precautions in place to have a happy, healthy, and unforgettable celebration. If you are worried that you are one of the few who are getting married during a pandemic, don’t be!

Join the hundreds of other newly wed couples who did not let COVID stop them from planning their dream wedding. Now is the time to start planning your event for the remainder of this year and the start of 2021. Your dream wedding does not have to wait a year to become a reality- start planning now! The sooner you start, the closer you will be to your dream wedding.

Talk Before You Walk

Talk Before You Walk

One could easily make the argument that planning a wedding is the most stressful event to plan. If you had your wedding during the pandemic or are currently planning yours now, we feel for you. Our very own Chris had a beautiful outdoor wedding on the beach amiss the COVID craziness. He shared with us the secret to planning a seamless wedding: communicate!

Communication Is Key

Communicating with anyone and everyone leading up to your big day is critical. Do not let this known fact be forgotten until it’s too late, especially on your wedding day! Chris did not realize the importance of communication until he started planning his own wedding. Lack of communication only adds unnecessary stress and creates frustrating setbacks.

Who Should I Talk to?

Don’t be afraid to touch base with your wedding planner multiple times to make sure there are no major bumps in the road. The earlier you catch a problem the better! You can also take the initiative to directly talk with your venue coordinator, DJ, and photographer to ensure everything is on track. The key for a successful event is to find one point of contact that will corral all of these people and tasks together.

The Big Picture

Building a strong form of communication will not only make sure your wedding day is just how you envisioned it, but it will help relieve some wedding planning stress! Communication is a simple and effective way to make sure your wedding day is just how you imagined. Make sure you have good communication so that when your wedding day has ended, you remember it for the great day it was rather than remembering stressing over the little things.

Wedding Details You May Have Forgotten Part 2

Did you seem to forget what the ring bearer and flower girl are going to be bringing down the aisle?

You are not the only one.

Planning your big wedding day can become stressful. There are so many details that you and your partner may have forgotten through the planning process. What the ring bearer and flower girl are going to carry down the aisle are small details that are frequently missed. These are two small items that do not magically pop up at your venue on your wedding day.

Our very own Chris had his experience with it. Scrambling around a couple days before his big day, then remembering he didn’t have anything for the ring bearer or flower girl to carry down the aisle. This proves even the experts can overlook the small things!

Where to Purchase Last Minute?

As Chris said, Amazon Prime was there for him. He was able to find many different baskets with dried petals for the flower girls and felt ring box or pillows for the ring bearer. There are over thousands of options for both the ring bearer and flower girl items on Amazon’s website. There even sets that include both items in one price and package.

What to Do If You Totally Forgot?

A pillow for the ring bearer, and a basket filled with petals for the flower girl are the usual traditional go to items to carry down the aisle. Other alternatives such as wooden boxes, glass bottles, and plates can be also used to match your wedding aesthetic. These items can be purchased at your local craft or retail store to do it yourself before your wedding day. Need some inspiration? Visit Pinterest for ideas on how to make the perfect set for your ring bearer and flower girl for your special day.

Forgot your card box for your wedding day?

We are here to help you plan those little details to make your wedding day less stressful.

After you and your partner get engaged, the planning starts right away. The long lists of planning can get pretty piled up and sometimes swept away. There may be those little details you may have forgotten or didn’t even think about leading up to your wedding day. Specifically forgetting about your card box for guests to drop cards in.

Take it from Chris

One item Chris never thought about was doing a card box on a gift table for guests to put their cards in. Having this last-minute thought proceeded into him purchasing a card box on Etsy. It came from out of the country and only arrived a day before he left for his wedding. Was he stressed out? Yes, of course, but in the end it was worth it. Chris never thought he would need such a little detail to make his big day 10x smoother. Listen to Chris, he knows best!

Where to Purchase Your Last-Minute Card Box

The best place to purchase a last-minute card box for your wedding day with fast shipping is Amazon Prime. With over 10,000 results, there is one that will fit your theme and color scheme. Amazon Prime offers 1-2 day fast shipping that guarantee Amazon Prime customers get their package 2 days from when your item ships.

What to Do If You Forget Your Card Box

Totally forgot about your wedding day’s card box for your git table? Don’t panic, you can do it yourself! Going out to your local craft or retail store like Target or Walmart, can help you get what you need you make your DIY card box. Here are some ideas:

  • Use a photo storage box, cutting a rectangle hole on the top and decorating with text, fabric, flowers, ribbon, or bling
  • Taking a simple or vintage wooden box and adding a burlap “Cards” banner
  • Using a basket and decorating with ribbon, “Cards” banner or flowers
